emergency bunting......

....... lets get sewing (or sticking for those of us that like to cheat)
You will need:
Vintage Fabric  and thread  (or why not think of cheaply using magazine adverts with bright colours or pretty paper for quick and easy idea)
13mm-wide bias binding tape or really pretty ribbon
pinking shears or scissors

1) Draw a triangle the size of the bunting you would like, on some cardboard and cut it out to use as a template.

2) Pin the template to your fabric and cut around it using pinking shears to avoid fraying. Repeat until you have enough flags.

3) Evenly space the flags along the bias binding tape, or in the middle of the ribbon,  folding the shortest edge over, and pin in place.

4) Sew on the flags with a straight stitch, or hole punch along if using paper and weave in and out leaving at least 40cm of tape free from flags at each end for hanging.

No party would be complete without bunting........

Cluck Cluck Cluck... the joys of free range eggs.....

There is nothing more satisfying that the crack of a newly laid egg cracking into a bowl or hot pan. Using newly laid eggs for their best use by creating a range of delicious treats. If baking take out of the fridge in advance so they are at room temperature before using. Left over yolks or whites can be frozen separably for using in sweet or savoury dishes. However you use them the original is still the best, there really is nothing more tasty that poached egg on thick cut toast with a twist of salt & pepper..... bliss

Keeping Keys Safe

It's worth noting that while chatting to Justin yesterday (a fellow Country Living Interiors bumpkin) he was complaining (just a little) about how he is constantly misplacing his keys! Why I never thought on to remind him that we have just the solution to hand and with style? So Justin this ones for you..........  why not invest in one of our stunning key hooks. They are easy to slot into any interior (they seem to go with everything). Pop on a wall, stand free on a desk, the choice is yours xxx

Father's Day Inspiration

Happy Father's Day!!! (yes we know it's a bit premature but we thought we would start the ball rolling & get the idea out there). Its something that's always a little, 'last minute' and dad really does lose out (well he does in our family). That last minute dash to get his fav bottle of wine doesn't quite make up for it. So we thought we would start early this year and plan ahead........ Just a few ideas to get the brain in motion xx

a great manly create filled with his fav tipple (mine would be made up with this)
